NEWPORT, Rhode Island (July 28, 2020) – Classic car expert Donald Osborne, ASA, Chief Executive Officer of Audrain Automobile Museum and Concours will participate in the final session of McPherson College’s “Wheels of Change: How the Automobile Shaped Our Lives,” a six-week, free-of-charge summer experience that has explored the people, innovations, and art of the automotive industry. As special guest, Donald’s expertise has been called upon for the subject matter “Art for the People – How Harley Earl and automotive styling democratized beauty.” Hosted by McPherson College’s Ken Yohn, chair of the college’s department of history and politics, the webinar has an online registration form and will begin on Thursday, July 30th at noon CDT.

“One of my favorite subject matters, how Harley Earl’s automotive design revolutionized art and popular culture, is a key concept to grasp when learning automotive history and who we are today as a result and so I am delighted to support Ken Yohn’s forthcoming lesson for ‘Wheels of Change’,” says Donald Osborne, also an historian and author of the book Transatlantic Style: A Romance of Fins and Chrome.’ Osborne adds that “McPherson College is an outstanding educational institution that we at the Audrain are proud to honor and support.”
