A Milestone, A New Website and a Busy Fall/Winter Ahead

Audrians Bewport Concours

Welcome to the new website of Donald W Osborne, LLC / Automotive Valuation Services!  It’s been a bit overdue, but hopefully worth it for us all.

It is difficult for me to believe that 2019 marks the 15th year of this appraisal and consulting business. It has been extremely satisfying to be able to bring together all of the disparate life and career experiences I have enjoyed to the automobile field- a passion of mine since I was 8 years old. It has been a wonderful journey since 2004.

As a person who trained as a fine artist, found some of his greatest pleasure in reading and learning more about history, art, architecture and languages, trained and worked as a classical singer, was forged in the fast-paced world of retailing, international clothing manufacturing, live television production, marketing, branding and communications I would never have believed that I could find my true calling pulling all these seemingly disparate things together.

And yet, that is exactly what has happened over these last 15 years and I could not be more grateful. Here on this site we will share the excitement and challenges that await every collector car enthusiast and give you insight into what we do, how and why.

We hope you look here and find ways that our professional services in appraisal and consulting can help you, but we also want you to find information, entertainment and perhaps occasionally bewilderment and consternation here in our content.

As I write this the summer auto season here in the USA is reaching a peak in the “Monterey Week”. This will be a very active one for me this year, as I will be moderator for three seminars, emcee once again at the Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue, attend industry conferences, do some video shoots, assist clients in the acquisition and sale of cars at the auctions, assist in the presentation of cars on the lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® and join in the ramp presentation there once again with my friend Jay Leno. And after the week is done, my activities really take off next month. You will soon read here all about the upcoming inaugural Audrain’s Concours & Motor Week October 3-6, the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival October 11-13 and the Auto e Moto d’Epoca Padova show in Italy October 24-27.  Which still leaves two full months in the year for more opportunities for discovery, learning and excitement. I can’t wait.
